David Novalbos

Born in Spain, David Novalbos has conducted intense musical activity in both instrumental and pedagogical fields.

​

He has been a student of the violinists Nga Vu Thi and Tamara Bektemirova, assistant concertmaster of the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville. He finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance at the Conservatory of Music of Seville with Alejandro Tuñón and with excellent marks. He has also received advice on different courses and master-classes from important violinists such as Miguel Borrego, Isabel Vilá, Juan Luis Gallego, Mario Peris, Regina Florey, Joan Llinares, Rolando Prusak, Manuel Guillen and Cibrán Sierra, among others.


He has been a member of various Spanish and European formations such as International Youth Orchestra (IYO), Presjovem Orchestra, Ciudad Real Symphony Orchestra (CROS), Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid (Jorcam), FeMÁS Baroque Academy of Seville and Dutch Orchestra and Ensemble Academy (NJO). With these orchestras he has performed in major concert halls in Spain and different countries including Portugal, France, Romania, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. He has worked with conductors such as Pablo Mielgo, Xavier Puig, David Ethève, Ludovic Morlot, Jean-Philippe Dambreville, Ivan Meylemans, Clark Rundell, Anthony Hermus and Enrico Onofri, among others.​

 

He also holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) with specialisation in Music from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) and the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to teach in England. Since 2005 he has been part of various music schools where he has developed his pedagogical skills as a violin teacher.


Attracted by the world of research he continues his studies with a Master’s Degree in Musical Investigation at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA). His lines of study are mainly the fields of violin pedagogy and music in the adolescent stage. 


He regularly collaborates with different orchestras and ensembles in the area of Buckinghamshire such as Milton Keynes Sinfonia ​and Cornerstone Chamber Orchestra. He is a Professional Partner of the MK Music Hub and member of the Milton Keynes Music Co-operative. He also works as a music coordinator at Loughton School.
